The costs include the costs for the conference dinner on the paddle steamer during the return journey
The excursion will be a full-day excursion with two different thematic focuses. In the morning, the excursion group will be divided into two groups to visit either the Baroque Dresden or the Ion Beam Center at the HZDR in Dresden-Rossendorf.
Both excursions will meet in the afternoon at the Bastei to jointly visit the Saxon Switzerland national park along the Elbe valley, south-east of Dresden – one of the most amazing landscapes of Germany.
The journey home will start in the evening hours on a historic paddle steamer of the "Weißen Flotte Dresden" (White Fleet).

The Post-Conference excursion will visit historical mining districts and actual exploration areas in the Erzgebirge, well-known for its Sn-, Ag-, Pb-, Zn- and Uranium deposits.

Post-Conference field trip to the historical battle field between neptunists and plutonists. Tertiary volcanics rocks were the subject of much heated discussions over centuries.
